On June 16, 2021, the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights hosted its third webinar in its latest series focused on health, human rights, and the pursuit of accountability in the overall context of Israel/Palestine.

Centering on the recent attacks on the Gaza Strip, panelists discussed the context, challenges, and urgent action for health and human rights accountability. The organizations represented in this discussion are involved in the daily pursuits of justice in Israel/Palestine. Speakers include Beth Oppenheim, Ghada Majadle, Nuriya Oswald and Suhad Bishara. Religion and Public Life Announces 2021-22 Fellows

Religion and Public Life at Harvard Divinity School (HDS) today announced its 2021-22 fellows. This inaugural cohort of expert practitioners bring deep expertise and social justice commitments to a range of professions (government, education, journalism, organizing, and media and entertainment) and issues (racial justice, climate change, immigration advocacy, and Native and Indigenous rights).

The 2021-22 Religion and Public Life Fellows will join HDS in the fall to help launch the new certificate in religion and public life available to students in the School’s master of divinity and master of theological studies degree programs.... Susan Hayward Returns to HDS as Associate Director of RLPI

Susan Hayward, a religious studies scholar and peacebuilding practitioner with more than a decade of experience working across myriad faith traditions in international settings, will join Harvard Divinity School in July as associate director of the Religious Literacy and the Professions Initiative (RLPI).

Hayward, who earned her master of divinity degree from HDS in 2007, was most recently a senior advisor for religion and inclusive societies at the U.S. Institute of Peace. There, she worked in active conflict zones around the world and strengthened the religious literacy of peace practitioners and diplomats.
