As the Director of the Center for the Church and the Black Experience and instructor of Religion and Race at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Taurean’s work further brings U.S. African American Christian communities into the movement for a just peace in Israel-Palestine through relationship-building, cross-cultural immersive learning, theological reflection, youth engagement and collective action. Taurean’s fellowship year will be spent producing an integrative art exhibition that centers the work of Black and Palestinian artists and preparing to travel it across the East Coast and Midwest.
