Abby

Abby Esposito is a social studies teacher at Conard High School in West Hartford, Connecticut. She currently teaches United States History, Genocide Studies, and Human Rights to tenth-, eleventh-, and twelfth-grade students. Abby has worked closely with the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center through the University of Connecticut, as well as other educators throughout the state, in order to provide meaningful human rights education opportunities to CT students. She has served as co-chair of the CT Human Rights and Youth Action Summit held annually at UCONN, and partnered with the National Council for the Social Studies Human Rights Community and the CT Human Rights Partnership in order to develop frameworks, tools, and resources accessible to social studies educators. She is adviser to several clubs and activities at Conard, including the Conard Human Rights Day Initiative and the Conard Young Democrats. Abby has been collaborating with the RPL since 2017.
