Kurt Prescott is the current chair of the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, where he began teaching in the fall of 2016. Prior to his arrival at Andover, Kurt also taught at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH and the Northfield Mt. Hermon School in Gil, MA. Altogether, Kurt has taught over fifteen different electives in philosophy and religious studies over the course of his teaching career.Kurt graduated from Dartmouth College in 2012, where he earned an A.B. in Religion and Anthropology, followed by an M.T.S. from the Harvard Divinity School in 2014. In addition to his work in the classroom, Kurt is also a fellow at the Tang Institute at Phillips Academy, where his research focuses on the development and dissemination of ethical and pedagogically sound approaches to the teaching of religious studies. He also serves as a student advisor and track and field coach.
