LaTasha Sarpy is a Professor of Sociology at Bunker Hill Community College. For the past seven years, LaTasha has worked on developing a culturally inclusive pedagogy and implementing transformative initiatives in her classroom, such as the Religious Literacy Project. LaTasha participated in the Globalizing the Classroom Workshops through Harvard University in the Summer of 2016 and soon after became a fellow in the program. In 2017, LaTasha was fortunate to be a founding participant of the Religious Literacy Project, which has enhanced her teaching and has granted her the tools to engage in dialogues about religion in a non-devotional and innovative way.

LaTasha is a proud Boston native, born, raised and educated. She holds a doctor in Law and Policy from Northeastern University. LaTasha is also the mom of three beautiful children, Liam, Leah and Levi, who keep her busy when she is not working at Bunker Hill or in the community.
