Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Alice Proffitt is a creative entrepreneur currently living and working in rural Vermont.  Her professional background includes work in academia at the Yale School of the Environment, the world of philanthropy, politics, business, hospitality and most recently, studying and working in the fields of mediation, conflict resolution and dialogue facilitation. She is a graduate of The University of Virginia and lives with her three teenagers and two English Labrador retrievers on an 18th century farm in rural East Calais, Vermont.
